It is with pleasure, together with the Covenant Denomination and Northwest Conference, that the New City Leadership Team, Staff and Members have officially confirmed the hiring of Tim Ciccone as the next Lead Pastor of New City Covenant Church.

Tim has been a part of the Covenant Church in various capacities, more recently as a denominational leader, and we are excited for what he (and his family) will bring to our community.

The Leadership Team is thankful for God’s guidance throughout the last year, and excited for His leading into this next phase of church community.

As far as what this means:
1st September – Tim will formally start his role with New City
4th September – Labor Day Weekend, Meet and Greet with Tim and the Ciccone Family
11th September – Tim’s Installation and Fall Kickoff Party (more details of this to follow)

We are excited for what God is doing in our church community and praise God for leading us. Furthermore, we encourage you to continue in prayer for our Church, our Community and the Ciccone family.

LETTER FROM LEAD PASTOR TIM CICCONE

Dear New City Covenant Church,

It has been a great honor to walk with the Search Committee and Leadership Team over these past weeks, praying and discerning together God’s direction in this season. Thank you for the gift of consideration for the Lead Pastor position at New City Covenant Church.

My wife Maria and I have been married for nearly 25 years and have known each other since we were children when we attended Crossroads Covenant Church in Forest Lake, MN. God has blessed us with four beautiful children – Caleb, who is 18 and will begin his senior year this fall; Josiah, who is 15 and entering his sophomore year; Samantha, who is 11 and will start middle school (sixth grade); and Ethan, our 7-year-old who will start second grade. We are so thankful for the way God has knit our family together!

Maria is quite honestly superwoman – she is the glue to our busy family, has wonderfully supported our incredible ministry calls throughout the years, and has worked as a senior accountant with a company out of Kansas City for the past 14 years. She will begin a new job with a company in Woodbury as a Senior Staff Accountant this July, and we are very excited about this opportunity.

I have served in Covenant Ministry since 1994 – beginning at Faith Covenant Church in Breton, Alberta, Canada. That pastoral journey has called me through the years to the Denver, Colorado Area, my home church in Forest Lake, Minnesota, Muskegon, Michigan, the Kansas City area, and, for the past 8+ years, I have served the Covenant Church as a denominational leader on the Make and Deepen Disciples team based out of Chicago (the last two years remotely from Minnesota). It has been an honor to serve in these unique situations and seasons.

Our entire family deeply loves sports and activities; we love the beach, our backyard deck, and celebrating the small and ordinary moments God brings to our attention and family daily. And we are hopeful in looking forward to the possibility of growing together with you, New City Covenant Church!
