Surprised By Joy

This has been a hard year for many of us. There have been many losses that we’ve had to grieve and painful choices we’ve had to make. And yet, in the midst of our many losses, God comes to be with us. This is what Advent is all about; it is the season in the church calendar when we pay attention to our desire for God to come to us. The word Advent is derived from the Latin word, adventus, which means coming or arriving, and this Advent, we are going to celebrate the surprising ways in which God comes to us in a sermon series called, Surprised by Joy. Despite difficult circumstances, God is surprising many of us with the joy of his presence. Join us each Sunday online for an opportunity to celebrate God’s coming to us.
