The following is a rough estimate of our launch timeline. Nothing is set in stone, but these are the goals we have set for our the launch of our church.
Stage 1 -- Gathering and Culture Creation -- right now we are gathering people. We are sharing our vision with as many people as we can and inviting others to join us. We are also trying to create the foundational culture of our community that is so important. The essence of our church is in our culture and ethos. It's found in the way we relate to one another, and not simply in the things that we do. Our community gatherings, social events, and service projects are aimed at creating this sort of culture.
Stage 2 -- Preview Worship Services -- in this next stage we begin public and corporate worship services. We plan to hold 4 worship services over the course of the next few months (December to March). Our first worship service will be December 6th, and subsequent preview services will be held on 1/10, 2/7, and 3/7.
Stage 3 -- Weekly Worship -- On Easter of 2010 we plan to be begin weekly worship services. We will continue to consider ourselves a new church, sort of like a beta technology, but we will have all of our core ministries up and running.
Stage 4 -- Grand Opening -- We are shooting for our grand opening to be 10/10/10, because that's a cool date to launch a church on. This is will be the time when we celebrate our "officialness." We will have a big party and give thanks to God.
